TCL Ultra Flex foldable smartphone specifications (expected)
TCL also showed a potential foldable smartphone at MWC 2022. The smartphone, which has yet to be named, can be folded inside or outwards using a 360-degree rotating hinge. It is said to have an 8-inch PLP AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,460x1,860. According to the claim, the display is prone to breaking because it was not possible to examine a functional display at the hands-on session. TCL has not released any details about how the display or the hinge will function as of yet.
The Chinese tech behemoth also emphasises the advantages of having a dual folding display. When folded inwards, it will function similarly to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, however when folded outwards, it may give a preview to the camera's subjects to see how they appear before being snapped, similar to the Huawei Mate X. The hands-on device also has an empty slot, which is thought to be for a pen.
