Some early users of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra are experiencing screen flickering. The problem appears to be limited to the Exynos edition of the new Samsung phone. The affected customers are experiencing screen flickering, particularly while using the under-display fingerprint sensor. Although the actual cause of the issue has not been discovered, Samsung has recognised the screen flickering issue on the Galaxy S22 Ultra and has pledged to offer a cure via a software update.

According to user reports on internet platforms such as Twitter and Reddit, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra display begins to flicker when set to QHD+ resolution and Natural colour option. When users attempt to unlock the screen using the in-display fingerprint sensor, the flickering effect emerges. It also appeared in a few cases when a person watched a video on their phone via YouTube. According to certain user reports, the problem reoccurs even on new devices.

Some consumers who were able to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra from the original batch were the first to detect the problem. The phone, however, is still available for pre-order in numerous places, including India, and will be generally accessible on February 25. The Galaxy S22 series will be available in India on March 11.

According to GSMArena, the problem persists even on its Galaxy S22 Ultra review model. This implies that the problem isn't confined to a small number of customers.

While responding to consumers on social media, Samsung recognised the issue and offered a software update to remedy it. In the meanwhile, it suggests that impacted customers update the phone's display resolution to full-HD+ (1080p).

A screenshot of an official moderator on Samsung forums replying to the issue with a comment that verifies the remedy has also been uploaded on Reddit. The message also advises customers to temporarily remedy the issue by switching to Vivid mode or increasing the resolution to full-HD+.

The precise date when the upgrade will be released to end customers has yet to be revealed. However, given that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the flagship model in the lineup, the firm may release the upgrade very soon.
