In conjunction with tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks), Giznext has shared a few photographs of the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 2 360 notebook. According to the article, the rumoured laptop carries the codename "mars 2" on the factory schematics papers, indicating that it is a second-generation product. It is said to have a big keypad and a larger mouse trackpad.
The Galaxy Book Pro 2 360 is also said to retain the Galaxy Book Pro 360's 360-degree foldable design. In reality, with the exception of a bigger mouse trackpad and a larger keypad, all design components, including display bezels and hinges, are believed to be similar to the previous-generation Galaxy Book 360. Samsung released two versions of the Galaxy Book Pro 360: one in April and one with 5G capability in October.
According to the report, the Galaxy Book Pro 2 360 may not include S Pen support. The laptop is said to include a 15-inch display, three USB Type-C connections, one 3.5mm headphone socket, and one microSD card.
The announcement comes only a few days after Samsung announced plans to extend its Galaxy Book line at MWC 2022. It should be noted that Samsung has not divulged the name of the Galaxy Book laptop that will be shown at MWC. In terms of its laptop portfolio, Samsung claims that its PC sales climbed by 63 percent year on year in 2021, and the firm wants to guarantee that "the devices in the Galaxy Ecosystem operate together for our consumers" as a result. Samsung also stated that it will continue its long-standing collaboration with Intel and Microsoft.
"With our soon-to-be-announced next generation Galaxy Book lineup, we will achieve three goals that are set to transform the way people use their devices in their daily lives: a seamless experience across devices and operating systems, the combination of the best of Galaxy mobility powered by Intel, and peace of mind brought about through robust security," said Hark-sang Kim, Corporate EVP & Head of New Computing R&D Team, Samsung Electronics, in the announcement.
Samsung promises that the next Samsung Galaxy Book would work seamlessly with Samsung Galaxy smartphone apps like Samsung Gallery and Samsung Notes, as well as Microsoft programmes like Office, OneDrive, and Outlook for complete on-the-go capability. It was also stated that the laptops would be powered by Intel CPUs and will include upgraded security capabilities to provide a safe, private, and secure experience.
