  • The Realme GT Neo 3 is expected to hit the market "soon."
  • The Realme 150W UltraDart rapid charging algorithm will be patented.
  • Realme says that the charging technology would keep thermal temperature stable.
On Monday (February 28), Realme 150W UltraDart Charging technology was launched with the Realme GT 2 series at MWC 2022. The new charging technique will be unveiled alongside the Realme GT Neo 3 later this year, according to the manufacturer. Realme's ultra-fast charging technology is said to charge from 0 to 50% in five minutes. The patented product is said to be built around three separate technologies: multi-boost charging pumps, a temperature management algorithm, and a novel lithium battery.

Realme stated that their new 150W UltraDart Charge enables 50 percent charging in five minutes, while also maintaining thermal temperature below 43 degrees Celsius and retaining 80 percent of battery capacity after over 1,000 charge cycles.

The new UltraDart Charging Architecture is also billed as the world's first to handle charging capabilities of 100–200W for smart gadgets. It boosts charging speeds using multi-boost charging pumps, and the temperature control algorithm works with the hardware to maintain an appropriate temperature while charging. The new charging technology also works with lithium batteries, which have higher levels of charging current and hence charge faster.

Realme showed up a demo of the new charging method at its MWC 2022 unveiling. However, no specific date for when the Realme GT Neo 3 with 150W charging capabilities would be available has been disclosed. The business teased the phone's release by claiming it would be "coming shortly."

In addition to Realme, rumours say that its brother and BBK Electronics subsidiary OnePlus may release 150W charging-capable phones this year.

The move is effectively a response to Xiaomi, which released models such as the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G with 120W rapid charging earlier this year.
