The Oppo Pad, the brand's first tablet, has been released for the Chinese market. The tablet is available in two colours: black and purple, and it is designed to look like an Apple iPad. The Oppo Pad is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 870 SoC and features an 11-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The tablet also works with the Oppo Pencil, a proprietary pen designed by the Chinese company that will be included with the Oppo Pad.

Oppo Pad cost and availability

The Oppo Pad will go on sale in China on March 3 at 10 a.m. (7:30 a.m. IST). Its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs CNY 2,299 (about Rs. 27,370), while the 6GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 27,370). (roughly Rs. 32,160). The Oppo Pad 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 2,999. (roughly Rs. 35,720). The tablet is available in two colours: black and purple. To avoid fingerprints on the back, the Purple colour variation is coated with a large-area flash sand technique.

The Oppo Pad Artist Edition with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is also available for CNY 3,499 from the firm (roughly Rs. 41,700). The Oppo Pad Artist edition has a bespoke two-tone metallic Silver finish, as well as specific designs and etching on the top side of the rear panel.

Oppo Pad specs and features

Oppo's first tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Oppo Pad runs ColorsOS 12, which is based on Android 11 and offers features like as four-finger pinch, two-finger split-screen, parallel windows, and multi-device cross-screen collaboration. The tablet has an 11-inch (2,5601,600 pixel) LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a contrast ratio of 1500:1, HDR10 compatibility, a pixel density of 275ppi, a touch sampling rate of 120Hz, and P3 wide colour gamut support.

Oppo claims that a multi-layered graphite + silicone heat dissipation technology has been placed in the tablet to keep it cool during extended use. The display on the Oppo Pad is believed to include hardware-level anti-blue light solutions to make it easier on the eyes. The Oppo Pad's rear panel features huge engravings spelling out Oppo and a smaller logo in the centre. The tablet includes medium-thick bezzles all around the screen, giving it an 86.3 percent body-to-screen ratio. The tablet's sides feature flat edges.

The Oppo Pad is around 7mm thick and weighs approximately 510 grammes. The tablet has an 8,360mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The tablet's camera is located in the upper right corner of the back, along with an LED flash. The Oppo Pad has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Oppo Pad sports a quad-speaker audio configuration that includes second-generation ACC speakers with four 1.8-1.9cm independent sound chambers. Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio are supported by the Oppo Pad speakers.


The stylus that comes with the Oppo Pad, the Oppo Pencil, has a changeable tip. The pencil offers 4,096 pressure sensitivity levels and wireless quick charging. The stylus can be used after a complete charge operated continuously for 13 hours.
