The Android security update for the month of February is now available for all Google Pixel smartphones dating back to the Pixel 3a. The update isn't anything huge, although Google does note increased Bluetooth compatibility, audio playback enhancements, and the most recent security patches. It also indicates that Google's existing flagship handsets would receive an upgrade on time.

The community website linked to Google's OTA Tweet indicates a remedy for Pixel 6 or 6 Pro users who encountered reboots "while using camera in specific scenarios." Additionally, customers who own a Pixel 4, 4 XL, 4a 5G, or 5 should see signal issues resolved on C Spire and Cellcom. Otherwise, a patch for a "issue causing keyboard to show above input text in some scenarios" will be applied to all impacted Pixels.

Owners of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have had a difficult time receiving firmware upgrades in recent months. Following a faulty December update, some Pixel users who remained on the November update had to wait until mid-January to be brought up to date, while those who were able to pull the December update faced signal difficulties.

The OTA is now available for all Pixel handsets that are eligible. To get the update, go to Settings > System > System Update.
