On Thursday, Motorola Edge 30 Pro was released in India (February 24). The new Motorola phone is the successor to last year's Motorola Edge 20 Pro. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro features a 144Hz pOLED display and three back cameras. The smartphone also has 68W rapid charging capabilities and a water-resistant design. It has a feature dubbed 'Ready For,' which allows users to browse their mobile applications on a large screen or use the phone as a camera for video conferences held on a Windows 11 laptop. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro competes with devices such as the Asus ROG Phone 5s, the Vivo X70 Pro, and the iQoo 9 series.

In India, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is priced at Rs. 49,999 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The phone is available in Cosmos Blue and Stardust White colour choices and will be available for purchase beginning March 4 on Flipkart and prominent retail outlets.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is being launched with a Rs. 5,000 discount on Flipkart and a Rs. 5,000 rebate via retail shops — both of which are available to consumers who use SBI credit cards. Jio subscribers will also receive Rs. 10,000 in bonuses. Furthermore, for Axis, HDFC, ICICI, and SBI cards, the phone will be available with no-cost EMI options for up to nine months.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will be offered in the United States as the Motorola Edge+ for $999. (roughly Rs. 75,500).

Last year, Motorola Edge 20 Pro was released in India for Rs. 36,999 with the same 8GB + 128GB combination. The previous model included a 144Hz AMOLED display, triple back cameras with a 108-megapixel main sensor, and a 4,500mAh battery with 30W rapid charging.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs Android 12 and has a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixel) pOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 colour space. A 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with anti-fingerprint coating protects the display as well. The phone is powered by the flagship-level Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro features a triple rear camera array with a 50-megapixel main sensor, an f/1.8 lens, omni-directional phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), and optical image stabilisation (OIS). A 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper and a 2-megapixel depth sensor are also included in the camera arrangement.

Motorola has combined the three cameras with a dual-LED flash. The phone can also record up to 8K video at 24fps. It also supports slow-motion full-HD (1080p) video recording at frame rates of up to 960fps.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a front-facing 60-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens for selfies and video chats.

The Motorola Edge 30 Pro comes with 128GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 internal storage. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity possibilities. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the side.
