According to a recent source, Apple's anticipated successor to its top iPhone 13 Pro smartphone, the iPhone 14 Pro, might include up to 8GB of RAM. The company's high-end smartphones are expected to have the same amount of RAM as the newly released Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ smartphones, as well as other midrange Android devices. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro both have 6GB of RAM. Apple has yet to provide any details on the rumoured iPhone 14 series, including specs.

According to a post on the Naver blog (in Korean) by user 'yeux1122,' the Cupertino company's rumoured iPhone 14 Pro models will have 8GB of RAM, which is more than its predecessors, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which were released in 2020. According to the report, which claims a local supply chain source, the components have already been validated with the firms involved.

According to the blog post, Apple is also expediting the timeframe for mass manufacturing of the iPhone 14 Pro owing to tighter supply chain management for crucial components due to the continuing coronavirus outbreak. Bloomberg reported in December that Apple has alerted component suppliers of a drop in demand for the iPhone 13 series. According to the source, Apple previously reduced its iPhone 13 production goal for the year by 10 million devices.

The business currently provides a 16GB RAM option on its 11-inch iPad Pro (2021) model, which was released in April 2021, while the iPhone 14 Pro's rumoured 8GB RAM specification would put the smartphone on level with the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ handsets, which were released on February 9. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which has a 12GB RAM edition, both the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have 8GB of memory and storage choices of 128GB and 256GB. As previously said, Apple has yet to publicly share any information on the rumoured iPhone 14 Pro devices.
