With the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung has a solid grasp on the foldable smartphone industry. However, more and more firms, like as Oppo Find N, are entering this market. Samsung appears to rely on a somewhat distinct design to establish itself as the market leader.
HIGHLIGHTS
- New Galaxy Z Fold 4 leaks have appeared.
- So far, there has been talk of making small changes to the design.
- The battery may be smaller than that of the predecessor.
This year, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to be introduced! Samsung intends to make some changes to the design and is using the Galaxy S22 Ultra as a reference. NextPit readers who are paying attention now know what is coming: The S Pen will be integrated inside the foldable by the Korean company. This was not feasible in the prior generations due to the relatively thin casing. Only a protective case with a recess for the S-Pen may be purchased.
According to TheElec, Samsung is apparently planning to incorporate a pen into the design of its future foldable smartphone. At the moment, there are no official images. Samsung, on the other hand, is claimed to have submitted a patent in January that offers a possible solution. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 may include a magnetic recess that can hold the S-Pen both closed and open.

- - Samsung patent expires on January 27, 2022.
- - Smartphone with dual folding capabilities (Z-shape)
- - Three cameras, one of which has a periscope lens.
- - Selfie camera on the underside of the panel
- - S Pen Magnetic Holder
Is the battery going to be smaller than previously thought?
According to the well-known leaker Ice Universe, such a design approach might cause issues. To create place for the S Pen, Samsung might reduce the battery size. As a result, the foldable is expected to be fueled by only 4,000 mAh. That is the same size as the Galaxy S21 and is a little small for a foldable phone with two displays.
Of course, whether one of the reports is accurate or not remains to be seen. We are still in the early stages of the leaks. An adaption of the design is unquestionably doable, but whether one should economise on battery size because of the S-Pen is a topic of questions. Personally, I do not believe Samsung will use such a strategy. With such a little battery, the S Pen isn't much use because you'll have to charge the smartphone for a few hours.
