  • Users will now be able to mass delete or archive information on Instagram.
  • They will also be able to filter content by date.
  • Instagram users may also look at their search history.
As part of its Safer Internet Day activities, Instagram has launched out a suite of new capabilities to make it simpler for users to remove posts, comments, and other activity from the network. Users can now delete comments and posts in bulk, examine prior interactions on their account, and search for material by date with the new account settings introduced by the Meta-owned photo-sharing app. These capabilities are accessible through a new part of a user's profile called Your Activity. Take a Break was introduced by Instagram earlier this month.

Instagram users may now bulk delete or archive all of their material, including posts, Stories, IGTV, and Reels, as well as interactions such as comments, likes, storey sticker responses, and so on. In the Your Activity area, users will also be able to filter their content and interactions by date and search for prior comments, likes, and storey responses from specified period ranges.

Users may also access recently archived or deleted material, examine search history, view the links you've visited, as well as the amount of time you've spent on the platform, and download your data with the current deployment. These capabilities eliminate the need to manually sift through every single message in order to take action.

To view Your Activity, go to your profile and press the menu button in the upper right corner, where the choice will be shown.

Since the end of last year, Instagram has been testing the functionality. The new capabilities, according to the photo-sharing app, are part of its efforts to make users and their accounts safer and to give them greater control over their activity.

Instagram launched the Take a Break function earlier this month. The function allows users to set up reminders to take a break from scrolling after a specified length of time and may be activated or disabled by all service users. Take a Break will be added to Instagram's current Daily Restriction feature, which allows users to set a daily time limit for how much time they wish to spend on the platform.
