A brand official revealed on Wednesday that the Infinix Zero 5G will receive an upgrade to Android 12 later this year. Last week, the Infinix phone was released in India as the brand's first model with 5G connection. The phone runs Android 11 with the proprietary XOS 10 on top. The Infinix Zero 5G has a 120Hz display, triple back cameras, and 33W rapid charging. In addition, the phone has dual audio speakers and 8GB of RAM.

Anish Kapoor, the India CEO of Infinix, revealed through Twitter that the Infinix Zero 5G will receive the Android 12 upgrade in August.

Normally, Infinix does not make public its Android update roadmaps. The company is likewise not recognised for providing timely software upgrades. The Zero 5G is an exception, as Infinix appears to be attracting customers with the new model that launched as the company's first 5G phone.

Unlike Infinix, suppliers such as Vivo and Realme have begun to ship new devices with Android 12 out of the box. Companies like OnePlus and Samsung have also begun to provide the most recent Android version for their devices.

In India, the pricing of the Infinix Zero 5G is Rs.

The Infinix Zero 5G costs Rs. 19,999 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The phone comes in Cosmic Black and Skylight Orange and is available on Flipkart.
