Huawei MatePad Paper, the company's first e-reader, was unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022. The tablet/e-book reader is compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil and has a 13.3-inch E-ink display for reading and taking notes. It has a fingerprint sensor and is anticipated to compete with Amazon's Kindle in the sector. The new Huawei MatePad Paper is powered by a hexa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It includes twin speakers and a battery capacity of 3,625mAh. Huawei MatePad Paper supports content transmission with Huawei laptops, PCs, tablets, and phones.

Huawei MatePad Paper is said to cost EUR 499 (about Rs. 42,000) and is available in only one colour: black. The retail box will include an M-Pencil and a Folio Cover. Huawei, on the other hand, has not yet revealed any information on the Huawei MatePad Paper's sale or availability.

The new Huawei MatePad Paper is powered by the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system and features a 10.3-inch (1,872 x 1,404 pixel) E-ink display with an 86.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 227 pixels per inch (ppi). The Huawei MatePad Paper is equipped with a hexa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The device, as previously stated, is compatible with Huawei's M-Pencil (second generation) and has a latency rate of 26 microseconds.

Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, BLE, Bluetooth v5.2, OTG, and a USB 2.0 Type-C connector are among the connectivity choices on the new Huawei MatePad Paper. Gravity sensor, hall sensor, and fingerprint sensor are among the onboard sensors. Furthermore, the e-reader comes pre-installed with HiSuite, an Android file manager that permits data synchronisation from a PC or laptop. It also contains four microphones for audio recording and twin speakers with the Histen 7.0 sound effect from the firm.

The new MatePad Paper comes with a 3,625mAh battery from Huawei. It measures 225.2x182.7x6.65mm and weighs 360 grammes with the battery included.
