Pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones in India will begin on February 23, according to Samsung, and consumers who pre-book the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone will be able to get the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 wearable worth Rs. 26,999 for Rs. 2,999. Meanwhile, according to the business, consumers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ models will receive the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 TWS earphones worth Rs. 11,999 for Rs. 999.
Meanwhile, buyers of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series will receive an upgrade incentive of Rs. 8,000 when pre-ordering the current Galaxy S22 series, while other smartphone owners will receive an upgrade bonus of Rs. 5,000. Customers may also purchase the devices through Samsung Finance+ and receive a rebate incentive of Rs. 5,000.
Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in India
The Samsung Galaxy S22 pricing in India is Rs. 72,999 for the base 8GB+128GB RAM and storage variant, and Rs. 76,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The Galaxy S22+ starts at Rs. 84,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, and Rs. 88,999 for the 8GB+256GB model.
Meanwhile, the high-end Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 12GB+256GB RAM and storage variant, and Rs. 1,18,999 for the 12GB+512GB storage model. The business has not yet introduced the 8GB+128GB and 12GB+1TB storage variants in India.
Between February 23 and March 10, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be available for pre-order at the company's online store, retail outlets, Samsung Exclusive stores, the company's online store, and on Amazon. According to Samsung, the Galaxy S22 series will be on sale on March 11.
Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra were all unveiled on February 9 and run on Android 12 with the company's newest One UI 4.1 shell on top. The Galaxy S22 has a 6.1-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a variable refresh rate of 48–120Hz with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, while the Galaxy S22+ has a bigger 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The triple rear camera arrangement on the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ smartphones has a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The smartphones also include a 10-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens. Unlike the standard Galaxy S22, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ supports Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra-wideband (UWB). While the Galaxy S22 has a 3,700mAh battery with 25W charge, the Galaxy S22+ has a 4,500mAh battery with 45W charging. Both phones support 15W cable charging as well as Wireless PowerShare.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1–120Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the smartphone, which is combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The smartphone has a quad rear camera arrangement that includes a 108-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and two 10-megapixel telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom functionality, respectively. The smartphone includes a 40-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
All three Galaxy S22 series smartphones include in-display fingerprint scanners, while the high-end Galaxy S22 Ultra includes a S Pen incorporated into the handset, similar to the company's previous Galaxy Note handsets.
