Apple has published iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1, two minor upgrades to the iOS and iPadOS operating systems, all of which were released in September 2021. iOS and iPadOS 15.3.1 arrive two weeks after iOS and iPadOS 15.3.

The iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 upgrades are free to download, and the software is accessible over-the-air in the Settings app on all compatible devices. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to obtain the latest software.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 address a problem that might cause Braille displays to cease responding. The upgrades also provide critical security patches for the iPhone and iPad. According to Apple's security support page, the software fixes a WebKit flaw that might allow maliciously generated web content to lead to arbitrary code execution.

Apple says it is aware of a report that the vulnerability has been extensively exploited, so iPhone and iPad owners should upgrade to iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 as soon as possible.
