According to reports, OnePlus' unified operating system will be available in the second part of this year. The forthcoming Oppo and OnePlus combined operating system is also reported to be based on Android 13 and may debut with a OnePlus flagship. Previously, it was speculated that the unified OS will be released alongside the worldwide form of the OnePlus 10 Pro, but current sources indicate that this may not be the case. Separately, the OnePlus Pad tablet will allegedly use Android 12L OS, which was designed exclusively for tablets and foldable smartphones.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, OnePlus' unified OS (may be stylized as UnifiedOS) may come in the second half of 2022 in conjunction with MySmartPrice. Brar also stated that the new operating system would be released alongside a OnePlus flagship and will be based on Android 13. The new operating system is thought to be in the early stages of development right now.

It was previously rumoured that OnePlus and Oppo's unified OS will debut alongside the global release of the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, according to the source, both Chinese IT behemoths have chosen to postpone the introduction of their unified operating system. This suggests that the worldwide model of the OnePlus 10 Pro will ship with OxygenOS 12 out of the box. It was released in China with the Oppo ColorOS 12.1 skin on top of Android 12.

Brar also hinted, along with 91Mobiles, that the OnePlus Pad might arrive with Android 12L. The OnePlus tablet is expected to be released in India in the first part of this year. As a result, it is fair to infer that OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus Pad in the next weeks.

Android 12L Beta was released in December and was designed specifically for tablets and foldable devices. It is intended to help devices with huge screens. This is the first time Google has prioritised optimising Android apps for bigger displays since the release of tablet-focused Android Honeycomb in 2012.
